Types of Appeals

Individuals have the right to appeal certain decisions made by BACB staff or committees. Appeals policies and procedures are classified into two main areas: Administrative Appeals and Disciplinary Appeals.

Administrative Appeals

The Administrative Appeals process allows individuals to appeal adverse decisions related to eligibility, certification, or recertification. More information and instructions on how to appeal a decision via this process can be found on the Administrative Appeals page. Please note, BACB standards, deadlines, fees, exam content, and specific test questions and answers may not be appealed.

Disciplinary Appeals

The Disciplinary Appeals process allows individuals to appeal disciplinary actions taken by a BACB Disciplinary Review Committee. More information about the disciplinary review and appeals process can be found on the Disciplinary Appeals page.
