*Documents must be received by the BACB office by 4PM Mountain Time in order to be considered on-time. Application deadlines are assessed based upon the date the application is COMPLETE (documents and payment received in our office). The BACB will continue to process documentation after these deadlines; however, applications received after the deadlines are not likely to be processed with sufficient time to register for an examination in the next available testing window.
**Applicants choose the exact date, time, and location for their exam based upon the appointments available at the time the appointment is scheduled. Appointments are available on a “first-come, first-served” basis. The BACB cannot guarantee appointment availability. Availability may be limited for those who submit late applications. The sooner an applicant submits their documentation and schedules, the better their chances will be to obtain an appointment that meets his or her preferences. Information about testing site locations can be found on Pearson VUE’s website.

Exam Appointment Fee

Pearson VUE charges a fee for every appointment. This fee is not included in the application fees paid to the BACB. It is paid directly to Pearson VUE when the appointment is made. The fee is $125. An applicant may reschedule or cancel a testing appointment up to one day prior to his or her appointment. Exam appointment fees will not be refunded if the applicant fails to appear for a scheduled appointment, cancels less than one day prior to a scheduled appointment, or is not admitted due to lack of proper identification.
