BCBA/BCaBA EXPERIENCE STANDARDS AND FORMS

BACB Experience Standards and Forms (English, updated June 13, 2017)

Note: The May and June 2017 versions contains only clarifications regarding instructions on how to fill out the Experience Verification Form (EVF), VCS supervisor qualifications, and updates to the VCS name. Individuals may submit either these versions or the previous version, dated November 1, 2016, with applications for the BCBA or BCaBA examinations.

Experience Standards Training Module: All individuals pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification, and their supervisors, must complete an Experience Standards Training Module. This online module uses programmed-instruction techniques to teach the critical rules of the standards for experience to qualify for BACB certification. The module can be completed in under 90 minutes and is available free of charge via the Training tab in the BACB Gateway. This training must be completed by both parties prior to the onset of any supervision activities. Supervisors must meet additional requirements in order to be eligible to supervise. Those requirements are outlined in the Experience Standards and Forms document.
